Care and handling of a fine art print
Handling: Etchings are printed on very fine cotton rag papers, and can last hundreds of years if handled properly. It is best not to touch the surface. If it must be handled, hold the print by the edges, preferably with cotton gloves. Oils from hands can be absorbed into the fibers of the paper, degrading its permanence. Framing the artwork under UV glass is recommended. If storing it, an acid free barrier material such as a sheet of glassine is best (if the prints are stacked) or place them individually in mylar sleeves.
